Short Street between the two Museums will be blocked off from traffic and filled with music, activities, food, dancing and special exhibits relating to our Patriotic and Cultural heritage.

Patriots Hall will serve food from 11:30-1pm, The Powerty Ridge Band will play bluegrass in the morning and The Dixie Keys Brass Ensemble will play patriotic music from lunch time through the afternoon.

And the Natural Natives will be selling native plants in front of the Heritage Center in the morning. Plus there will be dancers in the afternoon and lots of other activities for the entire family.

The Great Excape Poster
The film The Great Escape will be shown at 4pm
at the OHC followed
by the regular “Movie Night at the Museum”
showing King Kong.

Project Updates General Store Museum - Westminster, SC The Barrett-Jones building, future home of the OHC’s General Store Museum, - Center Church - Oakway, SC OHC has recently acquired historic Center Church in Oakway with the intent to restore and interpret the c.1870 property - At the OHC: Heritage Park, Heritage Reading Room, Farmstead Thanks to the work of volunteer Jon Fritz and our own Eddie Martin, the park is underway and nearing completion.- What’s New in the gift shop Check out the gift shop as new items are added regularly.
On Line Collection The OnLine Collection compliments OHC exhibits.

You will get to make a plate flower or a tea cup bird feeder and a fabric covered pot!
$10 for members; $15 for non-members

April - June: Off the Grid (focuses on homesteading in the 21st century)

July - September: Oconee Outdoors (focuses on Oconee's rich history as a recreation destination)

October - December: Our Hats Off To You! (features the OHC collection of historic head wear)

1st Saturday of each month
1-2pm at OHC
For boys and girls ages 6 - 12.
A different activity and craft will be featured each month, emphasizing local culture and history.
